I think it's just something it does. Someone said not to put metal in it so of course me and the Chief did as soon as we heard that.

And here I thought my spoiled upbringing would mean I'd starve while here. Instead, I can have nearly instant tea, without even inventing an instant-tea spell.

Isn't that the way it always is? It seems like those of us that manage to escape it never really fit in, in the first place.

That's true. Though my father was well respected before. He had ideas others didn't like but he was still respected by them. I suppose I would have found myself in a similar situation, if I had lived and if my father's house hadn't been dismantled.

We'll see how things go for me when I return. Perhaps I'll end up staying with the Inquisition as well. You do seem to take all kinds.

Oh, returning. I hadn't given much thought to that except that I don't think I will anytime soon, if at all.

I don't blame you for that at all. Tevinter doesn't go out of it's way to be welcoming.

Tevinter hasn't been home for a while, really. I meant Thedas as a whole. I don't want to risk my boon from being here. I never know if they'll take that away if I go back.

You think we'll stay here then?

I plan on it, for as long as I can. I never really was too attached to one place- home was more the people I was around than a place. You don't put down roots, as a soldier.

I think, considering I'm dead back home, that might work for me as well.

I only wish I could see my father and show him that I'm all right. I think it would do him good.

I know that feeling well. I'd tell my father I was sorry for everything, but I don't think he'd blame me. I think he understood.
